Closing Circulation

I've had several questions about the due date for library materials.  Below is an excerpt from our Policies and Procedures:
Each year all books are scheduled to be due exactly 2 weeks before school is out.  All libraries are to remain open and circulating until the final due date, which will be May 22.  At that time, circulation stops, but the library is to remain open for other activities (read-alouds, research, etc…).   This gives the librarian time to collect and shelve all materials by school end.  The day following the last day of circulation librarians should begin running notices to be distributed to students.
Of course staff may still need access to materials until the final day of school.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
